Reiser advances H125 training with VR simulator
Pilots interact with tactile cockpit panels that replicate aircraft switches and avionics, while a VR headset replaces the conventional visual display system to immerse crews in the simulated flight environment.
DRF Luftrettung CEO Dr. Krystian Pracz shakes hands with Dr. Johannes Hain, CEO of Reiser Simulation and Training.

Reiser Simulation and Training has introduced a new virtual reality-based simulator designed to support pilot training for the Airbus H125 helicopter.

The device, called the Veris H125, was developed with TRU Simulation + Training Inc., a Textron Inc. company and affiliate of Textron Aviation. The simulator uses TRU Simulation’s FAA Level 7-qualified Veris platform and integrates Reiser’s H125 flight controls, cockpit panels and aircraft simulation model. Those elements are already used in Level D full flight simulators, allowing the Veris system to replicate the aircraft’s behaviour and cockpit interaction in a lower-cost training device.

A fully electric six-degrees-of-freedom motion base provides flight cues and vibration, while the simulator uses the same flight data, software baselines and advanced technologies found in TRU Simulation’s Level D full flight simulators, including the REALFeel control loading system.
