Bluetail enhances logbooks with AI timeline capability
The update automatically organises historical and future maintenance records into a unified digital chronology, helping to reduce workloads and support compliance.

Bluetail has introduced an automated aircraft logbook capability within its AI-powered records management platform, enabling maintenance records to be ordered from past to present without the need for manual sorting.

The cloud-based software allows operators to upload scanned handwritten or typed documents, which are then identified, organised and positioned chronologically within the aircraft’s digital logbook. The result is a unified maintenance record that can be searched instantly from anywhere.

“At Bluetail, innovation means more than building software; it means applying intelligence to unlock the full value of aircraft records. We are continuously evolving our platform to turn data into insight for customers and future partners alike. This philosophy guides how Bluetail operates every day,” says Roberto Guerrieri, chief executive officer at Bluetail.

“Our focus has been on making the AI-powered logbooks work seamlessly for aviation maintenance crews because their time and expertise need to be focused on returning the aircraft to service, not on administrative tasks,” adds Kent Pickard, chief technology officer at Bluetail. “We are at the forefront of integrating AI into aviation intelligence software, and our development is targeting ways to introduce technologies that minimise wasted time and effort.”

The platform automatically consolidates airframe and engine records into a single chronological timeline. Users can conduct searches by date or keyword to retrieve inspection details, service entries or in-service part numbers.
