San Marino registry plans Dubai rendezvous
Industry stakeholders will examine regulatory exposure, operational compliance and aircraft financing structures shaping international operations.
“San Marino's role in international aviation continues to grow because it is grounded in technical credibility and regulatory clarity,” says David Colindres, president of the San Marino Aircraft Registry.

The San Marino Aircraft Registry (T7) will host the San Marino Aviation Rendezvous 2026 from 14 to 16 April 2026 at The Lana Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, bringing together owners, operators, financiers and regulators to address cross-regional aviation challenges.

Organised with the San Marino Civil Aviation Authority, the event expands beyond last year’s safety-focused format to examine regulatory exposure, operational oversight, technical decision-making and cross-border financing structures. Particular attention will be given to cooperation between Europe, the Middle East and other international markets.

Sessions will focus on current operational realities, including EU and U.S. sanctions affecting San Marino-registered aircraft and the practical implications for owners and operators managing multi-jurisdictional compliance. Aircraft finance will feature through discussion of lender protections under San Marino’s aircraft mortgage registry and its relationship with the Cape Town International Registry.

Operational and technical panels will address European Union aircraft importation, air operator certificate processes, MEL and EFB approvals, aircraft ageing and continued support from type certificate holders. Cybersecurity, data protection and sustainability considerations will also form part of the programme.
