The global preowned single-engine helicopter market saw a sharp contraction in available inventory in 2025, with supply for sale falling 26% year-over-year as pricing strengthened and liquidity was uneven across the segment.
Median transaction prices rose 5% despite a softer sales environment. Retail sales volume declined 7% year-over-year to 169 units, while total transaction value grew 6% to $412 million. Absorption time tightened to eight months by year-end, reflecting sustained demand for well-positioned assets amid constrained supply.
“Transaction volume softened in 2025, but tightening supply drove price growth,” says Valérie Pereira, VP of Market Research at Aero Asset, which produced the 2025 Annual Heli Market Trends Single-Engine analysis. “The sharp contraction in supply pushed absorption rate lower, underscoring a continued demand for well-positioned single-engine assets.”
Average days on market fell 12%, hitting their lowest level in five years. Sold prices averaged just 9% below asking.
North America accounted for 56% of sales, while Europe was the only region to post growth in retail transactions, up 8%.
Liquidity was highest in the Airbus AS350 B3, B3e and H125 models, and Bell 407 variants. The Leonardo AW119 had the longest absorption time.
