Regent Craft has secured an order for its seaglider vessels from XXV, a private members club focused on coastal destinations, opening a new customer category for high-speed electric maritime aviation.
The agreement covers 30 Viceroy seaglider vessels, each able to carry up to 12 passengers and intended for deployment across the United States. The vessels are designed for dock-to-dock travel, with passengers boarding directly at the water’s edge before the craft rises onto hydrofoils and then flies just above the water in ground effect. Regent positions the aircraft as a quieter and smoother alternative to existing coastal transport, supported by a cabin design featuring high ceilings and large windows.
XXV plans to launch initial services on the U.S. East Coast, with early operations centred on the Northeast and Florida. Proposed routes include New York to the Hamptons, Boston to Nantucket, Palm Beach to Miami and Miami to the Bahamas.
Delivery of the first vessels is planned as early as 2027, aligning with Regent’s wider development and certification timeline.
Billy Thalheimer, co-founder and CEO of Regent Craft, says: “We designed seaglider vessels to remove friction from coastal travel, and XXV is applying that capability to create a member experience centred on our shared goals of convenience, comfort and connection.”
