Business aviation coalition lays SAF plans at WEF
Key advancements in SAF accessibility include widespread physical availability; access to SAF is currently at record levels, with over 100 FBOs worldwide, including primary WEF hubs such as Jet Aviation at Zurich airport.
Jet Aviation is promising an effortless experience.

As global leaders convene for the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026, the Business Aviation Coalition for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is encouraging aircraft operators and delegations traveling to Davos-Klosters in Switzerland to contact their fuel providers and FBOs immediately to secure SAF. For those departing from locations where physical SAF is not yet available, the Coalition highlights the ‘Book and Claim’ system as a critical, proven tool to reduce emissions and signal market demand for SAF.

“Business aviation is the testing ground for the most effective decarbonisation technologies in flight,” says the Coalition. “As the world's most influential voices gather to discuss planetary boundaries and sustainable growth, with a theme of ‘A Spirit of Dialogue’ we invite them to lead by example by utilising the SAF infrastructure that our industry has pioneered. The use of SAF represents the most immediate and impactful way for business aviation to contribute to these global goals.”

Key advancements in SAF accessibility include: widespread physical availability – access to SAF is currently at record levels, with over 100 FBOs worldwide, including primary WEF hubs such as Jet Aviation at Zurich airport, offering direct physical uplift; the power of Book and Claim – this model allows operators to purchase SAF at an airport where it is available, receive credit for the emission reductions and have the fuel entered into the global supply chain, even if the fuel is not physically pumped into their specific aircraft; and industry commitment – supported by more than 20 leading companies and major trade associations, the Coalition is dedicated to scaling SAF production to meet the industry's goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.

The Coalition urges all operators to identify their SAF options today for missions to Davos and beyond.

Jet Aviation will provide SAF during WEF 2026.

“We are delighted to be able to offer SAF on-site again during the World Economic Forum in Davos,” says Joao Martins, vice president FBO operations Europe and general manager, Zurich. “SAF is an important part of supporting our industry's efforts towards a more sustainable future. Since introducing SAF for WEF in 2020, we have continued to support its availability for the meeting, as well as expanding access at our sites in Switzerland, including introducing a permanent supply at our global headquarters in Basel. I would like to thank all of our partners for their collaboration in these efforts and look forward to working together in the future to provide even more sustainable fuel opportunities for our customers in Switzerland and beyond.”

Jet Aviation supports customer access to SAF through a combination of on-site availability at 13 facilities worldwide and via its global Book & Claim programme, which enables customers to access the benefits of SAF in locations where a physical supply is not yet available.
