Global Medical Response (GMR) has signed an agreement with Frasca International to add four Level 7 flight training devices (FTDs) to its simulator fleet. The devices, which replicate an Airbus EC135, Pilatus PC-12, Beechcraft C90 and Beechcraft B200, will be installed at GMR’s new training facility in Denton, Texas. Each features Frasca’s motion system for enhanced realism.
GMR has relied on Frasca devices since 2005, and this latest delivery brings its total to 15 Frasca simulators, including seven Level 7 FTDs and eight helicopter training devices.
“Frasca devices have been essential in ensuring our pilots are ready for the challenges of emergency medical operations,” says Josh Brannon, national vice president, aviation operations, Global Medical Response. “As we expand training operations, the new FTDs will give our crews access to even more advanced training tools, ultimately benefitting the patients and communities we serve.”
GMR’s operations span 382 air bases across the US and involve more than 5.5 million patient care events annually. The company operates 367 helicopters, 119 fixed-wing aircraft and over 7,200 ambulances.
