Helistar successfully passes Wingman criteria
Helistar provides a wide range of non-scheduled air transport services, including charter flights, offshore support, medical evacuations, aerial firefighting and specialised missions, supported by a modern fleet.
Helistar has been going for a quarter of a century.

Helistar has renewed its designation as a Wyvern Wingman certified operator following a successful audit conducted by Wyvern in November 2025. Its continued commitment reflects the company's dedication to rigorous safety standards and operational efficiency at every level.

With more than 25 years of continuous operational experience and operating from multiple bases across Colombia, Helistar provides a wide range of non-scheduled air transport services, including charter flights, offshore support, medical evacuations, aerial firefighting and specialised missions, supported by a modern fleet of medium and heavy twin-engine helicopters, as well as jet and turboprop aircraft.

Helistar is proud to achieve this renewal, which confirms compliance with the highest industry standards of reliability, safety and commitment,” says Carlo Emmanuel Cabra Martinez, Helistar general manager.

Wyvern Wingman operators are evaluated by the Wingman Standard criteria. The scope of the evaluation includes an assessment of operational activities, a review of the company's operational history and safety records, safety management system (SMS), internal evaluation programme, administrative compositions, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, and training requirements and maintenance operations ,including technician training and experience.
