Jet Access Aviation has achieved Wyvern Wingman certification through its participation in the Wyvern Flight Leader Program, which incorporates structured quarterly coaching and ongoing performance development. Wingman certification demonstrates Jet Access Aviation's alignment with the Wyvern Wingman standard, a safety benchmark designed to evaluate an operator's policies, procedures and practices against industry best practices. The Wingman standard provides charter customers with an independent measure of an operator's commitment to safety and operational excellence when evaluating air charter providers.
Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jet Access is a full-service aviation company providing a comprehensive range of private aviation solutions designed to support aircraft owners, travellers, businesses and aviation professionals, with services spanning private jet charter, aircraft management, maintenance and avionics, FBO services, aircraft sales and acquisitions, joint ownership and flight training. This year it has also met the standard for both IS-BAO Progressive Stage 3 and ARGUS Platinum Elite ratings.
“Most operators aim to meet the industry standard. We aim to set it,” affirms Quinn Ricker, CEO of Jet Access. “With Wyvern Wingman certification, Jet Access joins an exclusive group of just four operators worldwide that hold the highest safety distinctions from ARGUS Platinum Elite, IS-BAO Progressive Stage 3 and Wyvern Wingman. That doesn't happen by chance. It takes a team that refuses to compromise, systems built to be challenged and a culture where safety comes before everything else. It's verified, it's earned and it's exactly what our clients should expect when they step on board one of our aircraft. When you fly with Jet Access, you're flying with one of the safest operators in the world.”
The Wingman standard provides a validation that ensures an operator's performance is among the highest in the industry, allowing clients the assurance of safety excellence. The scope of the evaluation includes a review and assessment of the organisation's compliance management system, internal evaluation programme, safety management system, human factors management, safety culture analysis, risk management policies, procedures and practices, emergency response plans and training programmes.
“Earning Wyvern Wingman certification means an independent team examined every layer of our operation, from our safety management system to our emergency response plans, and confirmed we're operating at the highest level,” states Maria Kelly, vice president of safety at Jet Access. “But we don't treat certification as the finish line. We're continually coached, measured and challenged to get better, and our team embraces that. Safety at Jet Access isn't one department's job. It's in every decision our pilots, technicians and team members make, and our clients feel that on every flight.”
The certification reflects Jet Access Aviation's ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, accountability and operational excellence. Through the Wyvern Flight Leader Program, the company will continue to engage in regular performance reviews and coaching designed to foster continuous improvement.
“Safety leadership is demonstrated through an organisation's willingness to continually examine its performance and strengthen the systems supporting its people and operations,” notes Andrew Day, COO of Wyvern. “Jet Access Aviation's Wingman certification reflects that commitment and recognises the work of its team to maintain disciplined, risk-informed operations. We congratulate them on this milestone.”
