Speedway Flight Training has added a Tecnam P2006T MKII multi-engine aircraft to its fleet and expanded its advanced training syllabus to include both a Multi-Engine Add-On and a Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certificate programme.
The aircraft is a 2023 Tecnam P2006T MKII, tail number N605VA, and is outfitted with a Garmin G1000 glass cockpit and a modern multi-engine configuration. It is intended for professional-level instruction including advanced manoeuvres, emergency procedures and instructor proficiency.
“This aircraft represents a major step forward in our ability to provide consistent, high-quality multi-engine training,” says Joe Gilroy, founder and director of training at Speedway Flight Training. “By adding a dedicated multi-engine platform, we can now support pilots pursuing their multi-engine rating as well as those advancing to the MEI level.”
The Multi-Engine Add-On programme is an accelerated course designed to be completed in approximately one week. It includes up to 10 hours of multi-engine flight instruction, one-on-one coaching, ground school, exam preparation, advanced flight manoeuvres and checkride readiness.
To commemorate the addition of the aircraft, the add-on course is being offered at a promotional rate of $6,000 for a limited number of slots.
Speedway’s new Multi-Engine Instructor programme is designed to be completed in as little as two to three weeks. It includes multi-engine instructor flight training, scenario-based teaching, one-on-one mentorship, ground school and checkride preparation. Training for both courses is conducted in the Tecnam P2006T MKII using Garmin G1000 avionics.
All operations are based at Atlanta Speedway Airport (KHMP) in Hampton, Georgia, providing easy access to uncongested airspace while remaining close to complex environments for advanced pilot development.
