AEG Fuels has begun distributing Montana Renewables’ MaxSAF blended fuel, a 50/50 mix of renewable and conventional jet fuel certified under ASTM D7566 and ASTM D1655. The company is handling customer deployment and logistics for the fuel, starting with hubs in Montana, Washington and Oregon. Further expansion is planned in 2026.
The fuel, developed with Calumet Montana Refining, is compatible with existing infrastructure and aims to help aviation customers reduce lifecycle carbon emissions. AEG Fuels says the launch supports its global commitment to making sustainable aviation fuel more widely available.
“AEG Fuels is proud to partner with Montana Renewables on this important milestone for sustainable aviation,” says Landon Larson, vice president, supply, North America, AEG Fuels. “The introduction of MaxSAF blended fuel reflects our shared mission to make SAF more accessible, reliable and operationally seamless for our customers. Together, we're turning sustainability commitments into real action.”
The fuel is designed to help reduce Scope 1 and 3 emissions and align with ESG goals. Larson adds: “Our collaboration with Montana Renewables demonstrates how fuel producers and distributors can work hand-in-hand to accelerate SAF deployment. As we continue expanding our SAF portfolio, we remain focused on providing transparent, traceable and commercially viable options for customers across every segment of aviation.”
