Jet Aviation celebrates 20th anniversary in Dubai
The company marks two decades since opening its first Dubai facility in 2005, after expanding its maintenance, FBO and aircraft services across the emirate.
The Dubai International airport facility opened in 2005, strengthening Jet Aviation's presence in the Middle East.

Jet Aviation is marking 20 years of its MRO and FBO services in Dubai. The company opened a facility at Dubai International airport in 2005 to offer fixed wing maintenance capabilities and VIP handling, bringing its business aviation maintenance and FBO expertise to customers in the region. The expansion strengthened the company’s presence in the Middle East, following its initial entry into Saudi Arabia in 1979.

“The United Arab Emirates has always been an important part of the Jet Aviation story,” says Vincent Rongier, senior VP regional operations EMEA. “We have been supporting local customers in the region with maintenance, completions, management and FBO services since our beginnings. A presence in Dubai was a natural next step in continuing to offer an effortless experience, bringing additional capabilities on the ground. Over the decades we have evolved and expanded these services and now offer seamless support in fixed and rotary wing maintenance, FBO and aircraft services. It has been an incredible journey so far, and I look forward to what the future brings.”

The company further expanded its presence in the emirate in 2012, opening a second FBO at Al Maktoum International airport in Dubai South. In 2017 this facility moved to its current location in the shared VIP terminal. In 2018, Jet Aviation acquired Hawker Pacific. This included a rotary wing business consisting of an MRO facility, aircraft sales, aftermarket spares sales and support and RBIH Dubai, which offers blade repair in partnership with Bell Textron Inc.

As its capabilities continued to grow, the company announced in 2022 that it had been appointed as a Pilatus PC-12 service centre. This was followed in 2024 by appointment as an authorised warranty and Crystal Care service provider for the Pilatus PC-24, and authorisation that same year as a service centre for the Gulfstream G700.

“None of this would have been possible without the support and trust of our customers, partners and employees in the region,” says Hardy Butschi, VP regional operations in the Middle East and general manager Dubai. “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of those who have been on this journey with us and continue to work with us as we plan for the future. A particular thank you to the long-term partners and friends in the region who have been by our side since we first landed in Dubai, and to our team here, whose passion and commitment have been a foundation for our success.”

Today, Jet Aviation Dubai offers maintenance, refurbishment and modification services for both fixed and rotary wing aircraft, alongside two FBO facilities and aircraft services.
