RealClean expands into New Jersey and Connecticut
New bases in the tri-state corridor bring mobile detailing, interior restoration and protective coatings closer to aircraft operators in the busiest US private jet market.
CEO of RealClean Connecticut Michael Schlechter (centre) with the Connecticut team.

RealClean Aircraft Detailing, the US provider of aviation-grade mobile aircraft detailing and surface protection, has expanded into New Jersey and Connecticut, establishing new anchor hubs across the tri-state corridor – the busiest private jet market in the world.

The strategic move positions RealClean at the heart of one of the most concentrated corridors for business and private aviation. The area is anchored by Teterboro airport (ranked number one in US private jet departures), Westchester County airport (ranked number four) and Connecticut’s executive hubs including Bradley International at Windsor Locks and Waterbury–Oxford. The new footprint enables private jet owners, operators and FBO partners to access on-demand aircraft detailing, interior restoration and Flight Shield protective coatings where their aircraft are based, removing the need to ferry jets to distant facilities.

RealClean’s business model combines mobile convenience with detailed craftsmanship, delivering interior and exterior programmes that include preventative maintenance as well as cosmetic care. Services are designed to enhance performance, preserve value and ensure safety standards for high-value private aircraft.

Exterior work includes wet or waterless dry washing, paint and brightwork restoration, Flight Shield protective coatings, window polishing and de-ice boot conditioning. Interior programmes cover leather and veneer restoration, deep cleaning of galleys and lavatories, cabin sanitisation, odour elimination and disinsection. Signature offerings include JetClean 365 for scheduled maintenance, Aircraft RX for full rejuvenation and the Flight Shield advanced coating system. The company also uses 100 per cent biodegradable cleaning agents and waterless systems that meet airport environmental requirements.

Training, safety and precision remain central to RealClean’s approach. Each technician undertakes aviation-specific instruction to meet the standards required for handling private aircraft. The company’s process integrates technical knowledge, aviation-approved materials and a quality assurance system aligned with MRO-level expectations.

“Launching in the tri-state corridor, the busiest private-jet market in the world, allows RealClean to serve aircraft where they actually live and operate,” says CEO of RealClean New Jersey, Heather Stockham Tan, who is leading the company’s expansion and client engagement across New Jersey’s major FBO hubs. “Our clients expect national consistency with local responsiveness, and that’s exactly what this expansion delivers.”

Michael Schlechter, CEO of RealClean Connecticut, adds: “This region’s flight activity, seasonal weather extremes and high expectations require precision, speed and sustainability. RealClean’s aviation-trained teams and eco-smart products deliver all three while preserving aircraft value and appearance.”
