ACE 2026 - The home of global charter.
The bimonthly news publication for aviation professionals.
The IBGAA held its 2025 conference on 13 November at The K Club in County Kildare. The association reviewed developments including Irish registry activity, charter movements linked to the Irish Open and the decision that kept Dublin airport exempt from the commercial passenger cap. With support from the Irish Aviation Authority, IBGAA also introduced an Irish Aviation Diaspora Association intended to connect companies worldwide with Irish heritage or operational links.
“Open to companies all over the world with connections to Ireland, this is a smart and engaging way to grow our fledgling national association, which currently embraces 30 members,” commented Josh Stewart, IBGAA chair. “We're excited to officially launch the Irish aviation diaspora and unlock the immense power of the global Irish community. This potential 70 million strong diaspora is a national asset and the IAD will bring the global Irish aviation community together to spotlight international companies doing business in Ireland through third party affiliates, associations and even company directors with Irish heritage,” he added.
During the event IBGAA also joined the NBAA’s Climbing.Fast advocacy initiative, becoming the 16th organisation in the coalition. “We are excited to join Climbing. Fast. as partners,” said IBGAA founding chairman Josh Stewart. “It is critical that we work together with one global voice to make clear business aviation's leadership in sustainability and as a key driver of economic growth and investment, here in Ireland and around the globe.” NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen welcomed IBGAA to the campaign.
