FliteWatch sees charter potential in retrofitted Challenger 604
FAI Technik completed a major interior and inspection programme in Nuremberg before FliteWatch took on charter management for a Middle East client.
The 10,000-hour project included full 48, 96 and 192-month inspections.

FliteWatch will manage charter operations for a Bombardier Challenger 604 on behalf of a Middle East-based owner following its sale by FAI rent-a-jet GmbH, part of Germany’s FAI Aviation Group. The aircraft was previously showcased at AERO Friedrichshafen 2025 in April.

The retrofit, carried out by FAI Technik in Nuremberg, took nearly 10,000 manhours and was valued at about US$4 million. It included full 48, 96 and 192-month inspections and a complete interior refurbishment for 12 passengers. The cabin now features grey soft furnishings, carbon fibre wood, marble countertops and stone floors in the galley and vanity areas.

Passengers will also benefit from Ku-band connectivity and Apple TV. The aircraft’s new exterior features silver grey metallic paint with a black stripe.

FAI Aviation Group founder and chairman Siegfried Axtmann says: “It was a highly demanding, stand out project where we transformed the pre-owned heavy jet into a state-of-the-art asset for its new owner.”
