Comlux Aviation, already an operator of the Bombardier Global 6000 and Global 6500, is to take delivery of a Global 8000 in 2026.
“The Bombardier Global 8000 aircraft integrates perfectly into our long-range fleet, in between our wide body fleet and our Global 6500 fleet,” says CEO Andrea Zanetto. “At Comlux, we offer comfort in ownership and luxury in flight. We have built our reputation on delivering premium global travel solutions, and this aircraft allows us to offer ultra long-range. Comlux continuously elevates its fleet to offer clients an unmatched charter experience across the globe with a diversified fleet. The delivery of the Global 8000 will mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter, as we continue to attract more clients to manage the operation of Global 7500 and Global 8000.”
“The Bombardier Global 8000 jet offers the perfect balance of ultra long-range performance and refined passenger experience; an ideal fit for Comlux’s discerning clientele,” notes Eric Martel, president and CEO, Bombardier. “As our valued business relationship continues to grow, the Global 8000 aircraft will deliver its exceptional performance and signature smooth ride to Comlux customers around the world.”
The aircraft, the world’s fastest purpose-built business jet, has just got faster with a new top speed of Mach 0.95, the highest speed in civil aviation and the fastest business jet in history. This new development in the road toward entry into service later this year was announced as part of the 2025 edition of NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas.
“This accomplishment for Bombardier is reflective of the remarkable expertise of every employee that has worked on the development of this industry-leading business jet,” adds Martel. “With our Bombardier Global 8000, our customers will now be able to reach their destinations even faster, arriving refreshed and ready to carry out their desired missions.”
“The Global 8000 was already the fastest business aircraft ever built, and with this new speed capability, this incredible aircraft is set to redefine the ultra long-range market,” says Stephen McCullough, senior vice president, engineering and product development, Bombardier. “This achievement underscores the significant contributions of our innovative design, flight test and production teams and showcases their immense expertise, obsession with excellence and unrelenting commitment to push the boundaries, the heartbeat that drives everything we do at Bombardier.”
In addition to its incredible speed, the Global 8000 is nimble and provides the smoothest ride, and its class-leading runway performance is comparable to that of a light jet. The unique wing design, featuring leading-edge slats, enables customers to access up to 30 per cent more airports than its closest rival.
The aircraft will set an extremely high bar in terms of cabin comfort and technology, with four true living spaces and a separate crew rest area. It will also feature the longest seated length in its class, along with a healthy cabin with ultra-low cabin altitude.
