Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. has launched what it claims is business aviation’s first integrated mission task management solution. uvGO Tasks transforms how operators and Universal Trip Support Services collaborate, replacing the more than 30 emails per leg that have long defined mission coordination with a secure, centralised workflow, allowing operators and mission advisors to work together in real time.
“For decades, email has been the backbone of mission support, but also its biggest bottleneck and where critical tasks can get dropped,” says Craig Mabray, SVP of Universal Trip Support Services. “uvGO Tasks changes that. For the first time, operators and our mission advisors can collaborate on Universal-managed trips in real time, in one secure platform, without sifting through endless email chains.”
Within uvGO Tasks, operators can view task descriptions, ownership, priority and status at a glance, drag and drop sensitive documents including passports with ISO 27001-aligned security, add comments for context and respond directly within uvGO, and maintain a complete, searchable audit trail without digging through inboxes. When customers update a task, mission advisors are instantly notified, creating a frictionless workflow that reduces risk and increases efficiency.
Beta testers praised the simplicity and design. “It's super easy to click the link and land exactly where I need to go in uvGO,” said a flight dispatcher at a large corporate flight department. Another business aviation scheduler added that the platform is “easier to go through than my emails”.
uvGO Tasks will be available in October 2025 at no additional cost to all Universal-managed mission customers with active uvGO accounts. Operators who prefer email can continue using it with no impact to their missions. Availability on the uvGO iPad app is planned for later this year.
