Building on the announcement in spring 2024 of a successful growth capital and refinancing transaction, UK aircraft operations and engineering company 2Excel is sharing further developments in its strategic evolution.
With the backing of capital partner Crestline, the transaction marked a significant milestone in enabling the company to pursue its ambitious growth strategy and, as part of this transformation, the 2Excel Group was formally established, bringing 2Excel Engineering into 100 per cent group ownership for the first time.
In line with this progression, 2Excel has now completed a comprehensive review of the governance structure of 2Excel Aviation and announced a new senior leadership structure designed to support future management succession and ensure the business is well positioned for continued growth.
This process sees the appointment of co-founder Andy Offer as single CEO and the formation of a refreshed board of executive directors for 2Excel Aviation.
The company has also announced that, effective immediately, Arnie Palmer, director of special missions; Steve Riley, director of capability development; and Soham Gehani, director of finance and corporate strategy, have been appointed to the 2Excel Aviation board as executive directors. These appointments are in addition to their existing roles and responsibilities within the company. Further executive director appointments may follow in due course.
2Excel Aviation's strategy will continue to be delivered by the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO.
Andy Offer, CEO of 2Excel Aviation, says: “These changes reflect 2Excel's commitment to maturing as a business and aligning our structure with our long-term strategic goals. Our refreshed governance framework sees three experienced colleagues join our existing executive directors, each bringing extensive expertise, deep industry knowledge and proven leadership to form a robust and capable line-up to support our next phase of growth.”
With this phase complete, the company is now focused on refining the governance structure of the wider 2Excel Group.
