Bombardier celebrates 20 years of Chicago and Frankfurt parts hubs
The anniversary was marked with employee and community events, as both facilities prepare to reach new shipment milestones in the coming years.
The company's Frankfurt parts hub has capacity for around 60,000 items and is on track to reach 1.5 million shipments this year.

Bombardier has celebrated the 20th anniversary of its Chicago and Frankfurt parts hubs. Employees in both locations joined suppliers, officials and industry partners to recognise the milestone.

“For two decades, our Chicago and Frankfurt hubs have been instrumental in providing the essential parts our customers need to ensure their aircraft are ready for any mission,” says Paul Sislian, executive vice president, Bombardier aftermarket services and strategy. “With round-the-clock operations and inventory systems programmed for speed and precision, these hubs deliver the ultimate piece of mind and confidence, underscoring Bombardier's overriding commitment to world-class service, delivered with exceptional care and convenience.”

Bombardier consolidated smaller sites into the two hubs 20 years ago, positioning them near major airports. Chicago’s facility opened on June 27, 2005, and Frankfurt’s followed on August 29. Chicago ships around 2,000 part numbers daily and can store more than 100,000 unique parts, while Frankfurt ships 400 and stores around 60,000. By early 2026, Chicago is expected to pass 10 million parts shipped, with Frankfurt set to reach 1.5 million by the end of this year.

To strengthen regional support, Bombardier also operates depots in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai and San Luis Obispo.
