Gulfstream Aerospace has completed its 100th Starlink high-speed internet installation. The system was fitted to a G650ER at the company’s Fort Worth Alliance service centre in Texas.
The milestone follows Federal Aviation Administration approval less than a year ago to install Starlink on the G650 and G650ER. Gulfstream has since gained further certifications for the G800, G700, G600, G500, G550 and GV, with more models planned. Customers can also request installations on in-production G800, G700, G600 and G500 aircraft.
“No one knows Gulfstream aircraft better than we do, and by providing these additional certified installation capabilities within our facilities, customers can work directly with our experts,” says Lor Izzard, senior vice president, Gulfstream customer support. “We value customers' trust in our team as we continue to deliver a seamless, safe and high-quality service experience.”
Starlink provides passengers with high-speed connectivity for video calls, cloud-based applications and data transfers. The system delivers latency below 90 milliseconds and download speeds between 100 and 250 Mbps.
