Gulfstream Aerospace has delivered its first G800, the company’s longest-range business jet, following FAA and EASA certifications granted on 16 April. The aircraft was completed at Gulfstream’s Appleton, Wisconsin, site and has now officially entered service.
“We have seen astounding demand for the G800, and the entire Gulfstream team is excited to begin making deliveries to our customers,” says Gulfstream president Mark Burns. “The G800 is entering service with extraordinary programme maturity, just like the Gulfstream G700 before it. We look forward to customers around the world experiencing the aircraft’s remarkable capabilities and cabin comfort, and I congratulate Gulfstream’s Appleton team and the more than 21,000 Gulfstream employees worldwide for this significant accomplishment in delivering another quality product from our next-generation family of aircraft.”
The G800, which won the 2025 International Yacht & Aviation Award for Private Jet Design, offers a cabin altitude of 2,840ft at 41,000ft, 100 per cent fresh air, a plasma ionisation purification system and 16 panoramic windows. Interiors can be configured with up to four living areas or three plus a crew compartment.
The aircraft can fly 8,200nm at Mach 0.85, 7,000nm at Mach 0.90 or 8,000nm at Mach 0.87. Its maximum operating speed has been increased to Mach 0.935.
Gulfstream’s Appleton facility includes large-cabin completions, a custom-designed paint hangar capable of handling up to 48 aircraft a year and a modernised MRO centre.
