Atlas and FTI achieve EASA STC for Galileo HDX
The certified installation of the Gogo Galileo HDX antenna system is now available for the CJ1+ and the Phenom 300 at Atlas Air Service's locations in Bremen and Augsburg in Germany and Altenrhein in Switzerland.
The technology sits neatly atop the fuselage.

Atlas Air Service and design organisation FTI Engineering Network have once again demonstrated their strength: together, they have successfully developed an STC for integrating the Gogo Galileo HDX antenna and the Avance SCS router into a Cessna Citation CJ1+.

Following an initial installation that went smoothly and comprehensive system testing, EASA officially granted the approval.

This is the second STC approved for the Galileo HDX antenna installation within a year for Atlas and FTI, sending a strong signal of their competence and pioneering spirit in business aviation. Since the beginning of 2025, customers with an Embraer Phenom 300 have been able to benefit from this forward-looking inflight connectivity technology.

The system from the global connectivity services provider Gogo uses the Eutelsat OneWeb Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network and enables data rates of up to 60 Mbit/s down and up to 11 Mb/s up, offering a stable broadband connection with low latency. This represents a significant improvement on previous solutions for satellite-based aviation communications in small to medium-sized business jets.

The certified installation of the Gogo Galileo HDX antenna system is now available for the Cessna Citation CJ1+ and the Embraer Phenom 300 at Atlas Air Service's locations in Bremen and Augsburg in Germany and Altenrhein in Switzerland. Depending on the aircraft configuration, installation takes around 10-14 working days. FAA validation is now underway and will follow shortly.

As authorised distribution partners of Gogo, Atlas Air Service and FTI Engineering will offer other maintenance companies the Gogo Galileo hardware, including an STC for integration. Furthermore, Atlas and FTI are collaborating to develop additional STCs for other models in the Cessna Citation CJ series.

Following the successful certification of their second STC, Atlas and FTI are offering their customers greater digital freedom on board, while also reinforcing their position as leading technology partners for integrating modern, satellite-based connectivity solutions in business aviation.
