Global business jet activity in Week 31 (28 July – 3 August) reached 74,850 departures, according to WingX's Weekly Global Market Tracker. This was 2% lower than the previous week but 5% higher than the same week in 2024. Week 26 of 2025 remains the busiest in the last 52 weeks, and the rolling four week total was 2% ahead of last year.
For July as a whole, 331,768 business jet flights were recorded, 3.1% up on July 2024 and 4.2% higher than July 2023. This was the busiest July in six years. The active business jet fleet rose 3.7% year-on-year to 19,851 aircraft.
North America saw a 7% increase in Week 31 versus last year. Florida traffic rose 11%, reversing two weeks of weaker results, while California and Texas grew 10% and 5% respectively. Europe grew 2%, with Italy up 6% and the UK and Switzerland both up 3%, but France fell 5%.
Outside Europe and North America, activity dropped 2%. Asia fell 15%, Africa rose 14%, South America gained 9% and the Middle East fell 4%.
UK summer demand to Mediterranean destinations remained strong. Mallorca traffic rose 13% to 178 flights, Faro was up 5% to 139 flights and Olbia climbed 36% to 117 flights.
Richard Koe, WingX managing director, says, “July's record performance shows real momentum in the business jet market. North America's 7% growth last week and strong UK summer holiday traffic to destinations like Mallorca demonstrate the underlying strength we're seeing. Even with some regional variations, the overall trend remains very positive.”
