Gama Aviation has been appointed an Embraer authorised service centre (EASC) for the ERJ145 commercial aircraft family. The approval builds on its business jet EASC status earned in October 2024.

The ERJ145 seats up to 50 passengers in a single-class layout and has a maximum range of around 1,550 nm in its Long Range variant. In over 20 years of service, the type has logged more than 26 million flight hours with carriers in 26 countries.

Gama Aviation is now authorised to provide base maintenance, including scheduled heavy checks and major airframe works, and line maintenance tasks on ERJ145 aircraft. Services will be carried out at Bournemouth, with line stations at Farnborough and Luton, and at its Sharjah International Airport base in the UAE.

Paul Kinch, managing director MRO, says: “Securing this approval required a significant team effort and marks another major step in our MRO growth strategy. We now offer OEM-approved support for ERJ145 aircraft across our UK and Sharjah facilities, delivering reliability, regulatory compliance and service quality to both business and commercial aviation customers.”

With commonality across the ERJ 135 and ERJ 140 and proven reliability, the ERJ145 remains a core Embraer product. Filipe Afonso, head of compliance MRO, says: “Achieving Embraer authorised service centre status for the ERJ145 represents a clear endorsement of our compliance culture and regulatory discipline. This approval reinforces the robustness of our Part 145 operations across both the UK and UAE.”
