Tecnam’s P2012 Traveller has been cleared for commercial use in Colombia following full validation by the civil aviation authority, Aeronáutica Civil de Colombia. This approval enables Tecnam and its official dealer Transair Leasing to offer the aircraft to regional operators across the country.

With 11-passenger seating, Garmin G1000 NXi avionics and short-field performance, the P2012 is aimed at operators flying to remote jungle airstrips, mountain towns and coastal islands. Tecnam’s Giovanni Pascale Langer says: “The validation by Aerocivil and our presence at F-Air demonstrate our strong commitment to meeting the needs of Latin American operators.”

Transair will offer sales, support and maintenance across the country. The aircraft is already operating in the US, Europe and the Caribbean for regional, medevac, cargo and charter missions.
