UrbanV and FFG expand AAM ops from Rome to São Paulo
The pair had already begun joint test flights in Rome before choosing São Paulo as the launch site for their Brazilian expansion.
Karan Singh, CEO of Future Flight Global, with Carlo Tursi, CEO of UrbanV.

UrbanV and Future Flight Global are extending their advanced air mobility (AAM) partnership to Brazil following their collaboration launch in Rome. The two companies, which focus on vertiport infrastructure and electric aircraft operations, will use São Paulo as the first Brazilian location in a planned national network.

With over 400 helicopters and more than 200 helipads, São Paulo is home to the world’s largest civilian rotorcraft fleet and offers a strong base for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) deployment. The network will connect key areas of the city, including Faria Lima, Interlagos and Alphaville, as well as major airports. Expansion to Rio de Janeiro and other cities is also planned.

Future Flight Global intends to operate a mixed fleet that includes Eve aircraft from Eve Air Mobility, following a letter of intent for up to 54 eVTOLs for Brazil and the United States. UrbanV, already active in Brazil through its work with Pax Aeroportos and the Campo de Marte Airport testbed, will manage vertiport development and infrastructure.

The collaboration began with test flights and operational planning in Rome, and is part of a wider strategy to roll out AAM systems across Italy, France, North and South America, and the Middle East. Both companies aim to combine infrastructure and aircraft operations to build scalable and sustainable AAM services globally.

Carlo Tursi, CEO of UrbanV, says: “Brazil is one of the most attractive markets worldwide for AAM, and this partnership with FFG allows us to unlock its full potential. By combining our vertiport development expertise with FFG's operational capabilities and fleet commitment, we aim to deliver a seamless, integrated vertiport network, building the future of mobility.”

Karan Singh, CEO of Future Flight Global, adds: “Brazil already leads the world in vertical flight activity, giving it both the readiness and public acceptance for next-generation electric aircraft. We're proud to deepen our partnership with UrbanV and build on the foundation it has laid to build a robust AAM network, starting in São Paulo and expanding to Rio de Janeiro and beyond.”
