VIP Completions and Yodezeen collaborate on striking G550 interior
The G550 refurbishment includes carbon fibre touches, custom fibre optic lighting, Italian carpet and Loro Piana cashmere upholstery.
Custom-made Italian hand-tufted carpet runs through the cabin space.

VIP Completions and Yodezeen are collaborating on a comprehensive interior refurbishment of a Gulfstream G550, acquired through VIP’s sister company SmartJets. The eight week project includes a range of custom upgrades, from starlight style fibre optic lighting in the headliner and carbon fibre cabin accents to eucalyptus wood panelling, red stone countertops and Italian hand-tufted carpet. Soft furnishings include Garrett leather seating, Tapis Ultraleather panels and Loro Piana cashmere on the stateroom divans.

The CMS and IFE will be overhauled, including custom touch panels, RGB lighting, a Plex media server, Alto audio and HD monitors. A new mid-cabin bulkhead with a pocket door will also be installed.

Ben Shirazi, president of VIP Completions and SmartJets, says: “The client's vision was to push the envelope in terms of what an aircraft refurbishment could represent. The results will be spectacularly unique, unlike any other business jet in service.”

Arthur Sharf, co-founder and lead architect at Yodezeen, adds: “The multidisciplinary team that we assembled will convert the client's vision into reality using elegant minimalism and contemporary vision.”
