PWI expands Citation 650 LED approvals with four more systems
Wichita-based PWI has secured PMA approval to replace fluorescent cabin lighting on Citation III, VI and VII aircraft.
PWI’s LEDs run on 28 volts from the aircraft without needing ballasts.

PWI has received PMA approval for four new LED cabin lighting systems for Citation III, VI and VII 650 aircraft. These systems replace all original fluorescent lights with LED alternatives, offering instant-on performance with no flicker, hum or heat. The LEDs have a 4,000K neutral white colour temperature and run on 28 volts from the aircraft. They are premeasured and assembled to match the layout of the original fittings so existing wiring can be reused.

Citation III serials 0001–0022 use part number 6910100-033, 0023–0199 use 6910100-034, Citation VI 0200–0241 use 6910100-035, and Citation VII 7001 and up use 6910100-051.

PWI president and CEO Robi Lorik says: “Since 1963, PWI has created products made in the USA, using our own in-house engineering and production staff. We are very proud of that history and the continued high-level performance of our team here in Wichita, Kansas.”

This brings the number of PMA-approved PWI Citation LED cabin systems to more than a dozen. The company has also developed PMA-approved LED reading lights, a step light and an LED wing inspection light. All PWI LED systems are available through direct sale or authorised distributors and come with a three-year warranty.
