The company brought in the retired USAF officer and former GAMA head to provide insight into strategy and aviation policy.

The Blackhawk Group has appointed Pete Bunce to its board of directors. Bunce recently retired from his role as president and CEO of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, which he held from 2005 to 2025.

Bunce has nearly 50 years of experience in both military and civilian aviation. He served 26 years in the United States Air Force, ending his military career as director of the Congressional Budget and Appropriations Liaison. He has logged over 7,500 flight hours in a wide range of aircraft.

He has also served on advisory councils for the FAA, NASA and the NextGen Advisory Committee. His work has earned multiple honours, including induction into the Living Legends of Aviation and the Wisconsin Aviation Hall of Fame.

Blackhawk CEO Chad Cundiff says: “Pete's deep technical expertise, strategic vision and passion for aviation make him a tremendous addition to our board.
