Jet Assist expands NI footprint with Belfast City base
Expansion includes hotel booking, chauffeur support and aircraft charter, as Jet Assist responds to growing demand from executive clients.

Jet Assist has expanded its executive aviation operations to Belfast City Airport, adding to its existing presence at Belfast International, which it has operated since 2014. The move places the company at the forefront of executive jet and medical flight services across Northern Ireland.

Clients using the new location will benefit from Jet Assist’s handling expertise along with charter and concierge services, just 3.0 miles from Belfast’s city centre.

“We're investing significant resources in establishing a robust infrastructure at Belfast City Airport to ensure that everyone has a seamless and hassle-free experience,” says Jet Assist ground operations manager Darren Willingham.

Development director Andrew Edgar adds: “This significant expansion marks a pivotal moment for Jet Assist and underscores our commitment to delivering unparalleled service to the aviation community across Northern Ireland. Leveraging our extensive experience and proven success, we are thrilled to bring our expertise and dedication to Belfast City Airport. This strategic alignment firmly establishes Jet Assist as the definitive first choice for executive jet operators seeking the highest calibre of handling services in Northern Ireland.”

Belfast City Airport’s aviation development manager Ellie McGimpsey says: “Our new partnership with Jet Assist reflects the increasing demand for high-quality executive aviation services in Northern Ireland. Its presence at Belfast City Airport further strengthens our offering for business and private aviation customers, supporting our commitment to providing efficient, premium services just minutes from the city centre. We look forward to seeing the positive impact Jet Assist will have on the airport's continued growth and ability to provide passengers with a smooth airport experience.”

The company will now offer full concierge support including hotel booking, car hire and chauffeur coordination, overseen by charter manager Roisin Mulhern.

“This strategic expansion of Jet Assist into Belfast City Airport is a decisive step in SERE Holdings' vision to establish itself as the preeminent general aviation provider in Northern Ireland,” says Stanley Edgar, group managing director of SERE Holdings, which owns Jet Assist and 247 Aviation. “Since 2021, SERE has strategically invested £12.0 million across our general aviation portfolio, specifically within Jet Assist and 247 Aviation Ltd., creating over 60 skilled jobs within these entities in the region. We are now poised to accelerate this growth with a further planned investment of £8.0 million and the creation of an additional 20 jobs within the next 12 months.”
