Honda earns FAA AMT Diamond Award for fourth year
All eligible employees completed technician training as the company broadened its human factors education across departments
All eligible Honda Aircraft employees earned individual AMT Awards of Excellence.

Honda Aircraft Company has received the FAA’s William (Bill) O'Brien Aviation Maintenance Technician Employer Diamond Award for the fourth consecutive year. The award is the FAA's highest honour for aircraft maintenance employers and requires 100% of eligible employees to earn the individual AMT Award of Excellence.

The company has expanded its human factors training to more departments, a programme that focuses on improving safety, collaboration and situational awareness. Originally led by the customer service centre, the training has improved efficiency company-wide.

This training also contributed to Honda Aircraft’s recent renewal of its EASA maintenance certification, which allows the company to service HondaJets based in Europe from its Greensboro, North Carolina facility.

“Our team has done an outstanding job this past year in promoting the Honda Philosophy and its commitment to excellence,” says Honda Aircraft Company customer service division director Luis Jimenez. “Our company culture places heavy emphasis on the customer's experience when enjoying our aircraft, as well as the joy of creating, which our associates can appreciate as they innovate new technologies and processes. We are proud to support this culture through our training initiatives.”
