Cadorath doubles Rolls-Royce capacity at Lafayette
The company expanded its Louisiana M250 and RR300 turbine engine repair facility and simultaneously strengthened its global support capabilities through Higgins Leasing collaboration.
Cadorath’s Lafayette facility recently doubled in size with a 15,000 sq ft expansion.

Cadorath completed a 15,000 sq. ft. expansion at its Lafayette, Louisiana site in January 2025, doubling its capacity to service Rolls-Royce M250 and RR300 turbine engines. The facility, home to Cadorath's Rolls-Royce Authorized Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Center (AMROC), now offers complete turbine engine overhauls, including new test cell capabilities, fly-in aircraft engine support, avionics installations and comprehensive refurbishment services.

Gerry Cadorath, president and CEO of Cadorath, says: “This expansion reinforces our commitment to providing industry-leading support for Rolls-Royce turbine engines. By doubling our available capacity in Lafayette, we are well-positioned to enhance our service offerings and support more customers with greater efficiency.”

Additionally, the company introduced improved machining capabilities, such as MPI, CMM and CNC equipment, alongside increased staffing levels to boost technical responsiveness and operational efficiency. The investment aligns with Cadorath’s ongoing growth strategy in the Rolls-Royce turbine engine market, enhancing its partnership with Airbus Helicopters in D-level single-part repairs.

Cadorath also established a strategic partnership with Higgins Leasing Inc., following Rolls-Royce’s approval of Higgins as an Authorized Service Center (ASC) for RR300 engines. Based in The Woodlands, Texas, Higgins Leasing joins the network to extend regional maintenance services, particularly benefiting Robinson R66 helicopter operators, which comprise the largest RR300-powered fleet.

Cadorath adds: “By partnering with Higgins Leasing, we are strengthening the Rolls-Royce RR300 service network and increasing support for operators. Its expertise as a Robinson Helicopter service centre makes it a valuable addition to our extended support system.”

The new relationship ensures operators receive enhanced access to OEM-approved maintenance, repair and overhaul solutions through direct connections between Higgins Leasing and Cadorath’s AMROC operations.
