GlobalSelect in Houston, Texas, has reported major improvements since implementing next-gen X-1FBO Software. The system has cut labour hours by 93 per cent and brought estimated annual savings of $55,000.
Before the X-1FBO upgrade, staff spent eight hours a day on manual cash reports, corrections and inputting data. “This process required an average of eight hours a day from multiple employees, the equivalent of one full-time position,” says Mitchell T. Davies.
Now, daily reconciliation takes just 10 minutes, with the finance manager needing only 15 minutes to verify and upload data. Errors from manual entry have also been reduced.
Ramp operations have also improved, with handheld devices and digital dispatch helping prioritise service and reduce confusion. GlobalSelect is planning to add leasing and billing features next. “The leap was about 30 to 40 years forward in efficiency,” Davies adds.
Monica Sarduy, VP of sales and marketing at X-1FBO, says: “For FBOs looking to modernise, the success at GlobalSelect offers a compelling case study. The transition to automated processes and real-time data management isn't just about convenience, it's about unlocking significant operational and financial gains. We are all about data and look forward to showcasing more case studies like these to GA community.”
