GDHF expands fleet with five H225 helicopters
The Irish helicopter finance company’s latest order supports offshore transport and SAR operations in high-demand global regions
The company’s fleet will grow to 15 helicopters, including eight H225s and two AS332L2s.

GDHF has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Airbus Helicopters to purchase five new H225 long-range heavy helicopters. These aircraft will join its existing fleet of 10 Super Pumas, consisting of eight H225s and two AS332L2s.

“The H225 remains a key asset for offshore transport and search and rescue operations, offering unmatched range, payload and all-weather capability,” says Michael York, CEO of GDHF. “With growing demand in regions like Latin America, Canada and west Africa, we see strong long-term potential for this platform.”

Regis Magnac, VP and head of energy, leasing and global accounts at Airbus Helicopters, adds: “This endorsement from GDHF further confirms the H225's success in the civil and parapublic market as the most viable investment for energy investors.”

GDHF’s expanded fleet will support a range of critical missions, strengthening its position in offshore transport and emergency response.
