Metrojet Engineering Clark brings Starlink in-flight internet to Southeast Asia
As the first authorised dealer in the region, MEC will offer business aviation operators high-speed satellite connectivity with global coverage.
MEC anticipates strong demand for Starlink installations, expanding its maintenance operations at Clark.

Metrojet Engineering Clark (MEC) has become the first authorised dealer in Southeast Asia for SpaceX's Starlink, enabling it to sell and install the satellite internet system for business aviation users. The system provides global coverage, supporting video conferencing, streaming and online gaming with speeds far exceeding traditional in-flight Wi-Fi.

“The need for seamless in-flight connectivity is especially critical in the APAC region. Our clients operate on a global scale and reliable internet access has become a necessity,” says MEC general manager Rudgen Guzman. “We've already received numerous requests and we anticipate this will not only drive growth but also expand our customer base for maintenance operations at Clark.”

The installation process involves mounting a Starlink aero terminal on the aircraft fuselage and integrating the hardware into existing systems. Download speeds range from 40-220 Mbps, with upload speeds of 8-25 Mbps.

MEC operates a 7,100 sqm hangar at Clark International Airport, providing MRO services and ramp parking, with approvals from multiple international aviation authorities.
