Gogo secures FAA approval for Galileo HDX antenna
The newly approved HDX antenna, designed for business aviation, is now in full-scale production and ready for global installations.
The HDX delivers up to 60Mbps of broadband via the Eutelsat OneWeb LEO satellite network.

Gogo has received FAA parts manufacturer approval (PMA) for its Gogo Galileo HDX antenna, clearing the way for full-scale production and installations. The approval was secured with support from Delta Engineering, an FAA Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) programme member.

With PMA confirmed, Gogo’s dealer network can now begin installing the electronically steered antenna (ESA) and finalising supplemental type certificates (STCs) for more than 30 aircraft types. The HDX, designed for business aviation, integrates seamlessly with Gogo Avance to provide high-speed broadband of up to 60Mbps throughout the cabin.

Leveraging Eutelsat OneWeb’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network, the HDX delivers low-latency connectivity, enhancing digital experiences on aircraft of all sizes. It can be installed on new aircraft or retrofitted for cabin upgrades, offering uninterrupted global connectivity across a wide range of jets, executive airliners and turboprops.

“The PMA approval represents a significant change for the connectivity landscape,” says Gogo CEO Chris Moore. “The HDX provides smaller aircraft with high-speed connectivity options, complements existing solutions on larger jets and offers mixed-size fleet operators a connectivity solution for every need.”
