The National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA) 2025 Orlando Regional Forum, held on 26 February at Orlando Executive Airport in Florida, attracted a wide range of industry professionals to discuss the future of advanced air mobility (AAM) and aviation technology. Well received panel sessions focused on sustainability, collaboration and industry developments.
“Our industry looks forward to embracing the challenges of safety, security, advanced air mobility and sustainability, and we look to do it by working closely together,” said NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen during the opening session.
An aircraft display featured business aircraft from manufacturers including Bombardier, Cirrus Aircraft, Dassault Aviation, Gulfstream Aerospace and Honda Aircraft Company. The forum also highlighted AAM, an emerging sector aimed at helping business aviation achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
The NBAA’s Climbing. Fast. programme, which focuses on the role of business aviation in job creation, community connections and sustainability, was a key theme throughout the event, and civic leaders such as Florida State Representative Anna Eskamani and Orlando City Commissioner Antonio “Tony” Ortiz underscored the role of business aviation in Florida’s economy and transportation system.
The event included discussions on aviation topics such as runway and surface safety, with insights into best practice from an experienced air traffic controller. A separate panel addressed effective strategies for navigating Florida’s airspace when weather and other factors complicate operations.
The 2025 NBAA White Plains Regional Forum will take place on 4 June at Westchester County Airport in New York.
