FlyUSA signs up for ASAP initiative
The ASAP promotes a voluntary, cooperative, non-punitive approach to reporting safety concerns; it provides invaluable safety insights to all participants, fostering a proactive, positive safety culture.

Part 135 outfit FlyUSA has joined the Air Charter Safety Foundation's (ACSF) Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP). This step reinforces FlyUSA's ongoing commitment to safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement in private aviation.

Founded by pilots and built on a culture of safety, FlyUSA delivers premium aviation solutions to clients globally. Headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, the company is responsible for a growing fleet of 25 managed aircraft and has served over 1,500 clients and members since its inception. The company offers a full suite of aviation services, including on-demand charter, the Ascend Club membership programme, co-ownership programmes, aircraft acquisitions and management services.

FlyUSA's dedication to excellence has also been recognised on a national level, earning it a spot as the 45th fastest-growing private company in the United States on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list.

Joining ACSF's ASAP further solidifies FlyUSA's reputation as a leader in aviation safety. The ASAP programme enables aviation professionals, including pilots, aircraft mechanics, engineers, dispatchers and schedulers, to self-report significant safety concerns in a voluntary, cooperative and non-punitive environment. These reports help identify and mitigate potential safety risks, ensuring a proactive approach to aviation safety.

ASAP is designed for flight department employees working with various operators, including Part 23, 91, 125, 133, 135, 137, 141 and 145 operators. Participants can include pilots, mechanics, dispatchers, schedulers and ground personnel who seek to enhance safety by identifying and addressing operational deficiencies, non-compliance with regulations and deviations from standard policies and procedures.

The ASAP promotes a voluntary, cooperative, non-punitive approach to reporting safety concerns; it provides invaluable safety insights to all participants; it fosters a proactive, positive safety culture; it helps mitigate potential FAA regulatory deviations; it includes mentoring, coaching and management by ACSF; it is cost-effective, with significant discounts for ACSF members; and the FAA takes a non-punitive approach to ASAP-accepted reports.

FlyUSA's commitment to safety, combined with its extensive experience and expertise, makes it the premier choice for private aviation. With state-of-the-art hangars, maintenance facilities and dedicated operational support teams, FlyUSA ensures that every client experience is seamless, secure and held to the highest standards.

“By integrating ASAP into its SMS, FlyUSA enhances its ability to proactively identify and address safety risks, reducing exposure and improving overall operational efficiency. Whether utilised as a standalone safety programme or as part of a broader SMS, ASAP strengthens any operator's ability to maintain the highest safety standards for its customers, crew and aircraft,” remarks ACSF CEO and president Bryan Burns.
