Indian rotary operator Himalayan Heli Services, which works in the pilgrimage and aerial work sectors, has ordered two Airbus H125 helicopters to expand its fleet. The announcement was made at Aero India, the biennial air show and aviation exhibition held in Bengaluru.

This latest order will expand Himalayan Heli’s fleet to eight H125 helicopters, making it the largest H125 multi-mission operator in the country. The helicopters will be deployed for commercial air transport and aerial work missions in northern India.

Sunny Guglani, head of Airbus Helicopters, South Asia, comments: “We are honoured that Himalayan Heli has once again chosen Airbus Helicopters’ H125 for its expanding services. This order underscores the trust that Himalayan Heli places in Airbus and highlights the expansion of our partnership.”

The H125 is a bestselling single-engine helicopter that is known for its versatility and performance in high-altitude terrains. It is the only helicopter to have landed at the top of Mount Everest.

A spokesperson for Himalayan Heli Services concludes: “We are excited to expand our fleet with two more H125 helicopters from Airbus Helicopters. This strengthens our commitment to safe and efficient high-altitude operations in India.”
