SC Aviation is up to speed for Wyvern Wingman
The team at SC Aviation have poured decades of hard work into upholding a strong safety culture. Their hard work has been rewarded, as Wyvern has certified the company with Wingman status following an audit.
Wyvern Wingman is a rigorous international standard.

Janesville, Wisconsin-based SC Aviation has renewed its designation as a Wyvern Wingman operator following a successful audit conducted by Wyvern late last year. The Wyvern Wingman standard, the first air charter audit standard in the aviation industry, provides a safety benchmark that allows air charter customers to assess performance expectations against recognised industry best operating practices.

“We are proud to have earned our renewal status as Wyvern Wingman. This achievement is a testament to the decades of hard work the SC Aviation team has poured into our safety culture,” says Maggie Rice, SC Aviation director of safety. “The rigorous audit is an important accreditation many of our clients value when utilising our services.”

Wingman operators are evaluated by the Wingman standard criteria. The scope of the evaluation includes an assessment of operational activities, a review of the company's operational history and safety records, SMS, an internal evaluation programme, administrative compositions, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements, and maintenance operations including technician training and experience.

“We applaud SC Aviation's accomplishment of renewing as a Wingman operator, which signifies the organisation's commitment to embracing safety as a core value. Wingman operators conform to international standards, and they embrace transparency with their safety data so end users can trust their decisions,” says Andrew Day, Wyvern senior vice president, operations. “This renewal demonstrates SC Aviation's dedication to maintaining excellence in safety practices and continually meeting the highest standards in the aviation industry.”
