Private aviation operator Flexjet has once again secured its Wyvern Wingman certification after a successful audit of its helicopter division was conducted in November 2024. The Wyvern Wingman standard, the first air charter audit standard in the aviation industry, provides a safety benchmark that allows air charter customers to assess performance expectations against recognised best practices.

“At Flexjet, safety is a top priority, and Wyvern's decision to certify our helicopter operations once again confirms that,” says Eli Flint, Flexjet president, helicopter division. “And as a safety leader in the private aviation industry, we are proud to hang the Wyvern certificate at our Stratford, Connecticut helicopter headquarters.”

Wingman operators are evaluated by the Wingman standard criteria. The scope of the evaluation includes an assessment of operational activities, review of the company operational history and safety records, SMS, an internal evaluation programme, administrative structure, technical manuals documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements, and maintenance operations including technician training and experience.
