IAA unites academies under one brand ahead of UAE expansion
Intercontinental Aviation Academy has rebranded and partnered with Hadid International Services to enhance global aviation training programmes.

Intercontinental Aviation Enterprise (IAE) has unified its globally recognised academies under the new brand Intercontinental Aviation Academy (IAA). This rebranding consolidates operations in Lebanon and Cyprus and reflects a unified vision focused on preparing future aviation professionals. The new brand identity is intended to demonstrate IAA’s commitment to innovation and growth in an evolving industry.

IAA will invest in fleet modernisation, new training bases in the UAE and Europe, innovative course offerings and enhanced support systems to deliver cutting-edge training solutions.

Deputy CEO Frederico Fernandes says: “After over five years of operational experience, this is a bold step toward unifying our image. The IAA academies will now reflect the innovation and expansion our group exemplifies.”

In a separate development, IAE and Hadid International Services have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a state-of-the-art aviation academy in the UAE. Leveraging IAE’s expertise and Hadid’s global resources, the facility will cater to regional and international students. Programmes will range from entry-level courses to Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) training, including corporate certification in flight support. The academy is set to open in late 2025.

Wissam Mehyou, CEO and chairman of IAE, says: "We are thrilled to join forces with Hadid to bring this vision to life. This partnership will allow us to expand the initial project's operational capabilities and enhance education and training programmes. Our goal is to set a new standard for aviation training; one that is efficient, responsive to the needs of regional and international students, and offers airlines and operators closer, high-performance training."
