Atlantic brings AAM infrastructure experts in-house
The takeover of Ferrovial Vertiports strengthens Atlantic's position in the advanced air mobility market, enhancing its FBO network with future eVTOL operations.

Atlantic Aviation has acquired Ferrovial Vertiports, a subsidiary of the global infrastructure company Ferrovial. This strategic move furthers Atlantic's efforts to lead the advanced air mobility (AAM) sector by incorporating electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) infrastructure into its well-established FBO operations.

With the acquisition, Ferrovial Vertiports will now operate as VertiPorts by Atlantic, continuing its work on developing locations for eVTOL aircraft to improve connectivity in urban, suburban and rural areas. The leadership team from Ferrovial Vertiports will remain in place, applying their expertise to identify optimal locations for additional vertiport sites across the United States. Atlantic Aviation has already been enhancing its infrastructure for eVTOL operations, with electric aircraft charging stations being installed at several of its FBO facilities and utility upgrades at New York’s 34th Street Heliport.

“We see tremendous long-term benefits and growth in building out infrastructure to support the advanced air mobility space,” says Jeff Foland, Atlantic Aviation's chief executive officer. “The combination of our operational expertise with the outstanding work the Ferrovial Vertiports team has done so far will serve as a tremendous boost to safe and efficient eVTOL operations as the network develops.”
