Diamond Aircraft Industries has achieved a 2.5% increase in the maximum takeoff mass (MTOM) of its DA62 MPP, raising its limit to 2,360 kg. This increase will allow operators to benefit from enhanced payload capacity, facilitating the transportation of additional fuel or equipment, improving overall operational efficiency and profitability.

Key benefits include:

- Enhanced payload capacity: The new MTOM provides operators with the ability to include more mission equipment, thus increasing both flexibility and revenue potential.

- Improved fuel efficiency: The DA62 MPP continues to deliver industry-leading fuel efficiency, ensuring operations remain cost-effective despite the higher takeoff mass.

- Extended range: The aeroplane can now undertake longer missions without performance loss, with an additional 60 kg equating to one hour of extra endurance.

- Compliance with safety standards: The MTOM increase has received rigorous testing and certification from relevant aviation authorities, ensuring high safety and reliability standards.

Mario Spiegel, head of sales for Diamond's special mission aircraft division, says: "We are thrilled to offer our customers an aircraft that not only meets but exceeds their operational needs. The increased MTOM of the DA62 MPP is a testament to our commitment to innovation and excellence in aviation."

The DA62 MPP, building on Diamond's acclaimed DA62 model, now features more versatility while maintaining the same industry-leading safety and operational benefits. The enhanced DA62 MPP is currently available for order, with delivery set to commence in January 2025.
