Diamond Aircraft recently celebrated the handover of the first DA62 aircraft to a customer in Kuwait. Dr Khalid Khalil Al Tamimi took receipt of his new business six seater, twin-engine aircraft at Diamond Aircraft headquarters in Wiener Neustadt, Austria.

“We couldn’t be more excited to see the DA62 flying in Kuwait for the first time,” says Jane Wang, director of sales, marketing and flight ops at Diamond Aircraft Austria. “We congratulate Dr Al Tamimi and are sure he will be more than pleased with his beautiful new aircraft. This latest purchase demonstrates the incredible success Diamond’s range of aircraft is enjoying among private pilots and fleet operators in the Persian Gulf and beyond.”

The DA62 is Diamond Aircraft's largest piston aircraft model, powered by two Austro Engine 180hp AE330 jet-fuel engines with a single FADEC control and featuring seating for up to seven passengers. Renowned for its space, performance, efficiency and luxury, the DA62 moves more passengers and luggage farther and faster than anything else in its class.

“I’m proud and thrilled to be Kuwait’s first owner of a DA62 and look forward to flying it to great places and exploring the world in a different way,” says Al Tamimi, whose new DA62 boasts a customised Premium Curved design, with San Marino blue and yellow decal stripes over light silver, and comes equipped with alternator-powered air conditioning, an additional oxygen system, weather radar and a hot weather kit for enhanced engine cooling.
