JSSI celebrates ten years of Parts & Engine Leasing
Today, JSSI Parts & Leasing has over 100,000 parts in stock, more than 70 engines and APUs in its lease portfolio, worldwide strategic warehouse locations and sourcing relationships with over 600 global vendors.

Jet Support Services, Inc is honouring the 10 year anniversary of its Parts & Leasing business.

What started as an in-house procurement operation has grown significantly over the past five years to become the first stop for maintenance teams because of the broad stocking of critical inventory across a wide range of business aviation platforms. Today, JSSI Parts & Leasing has over 100,000 parts in stock, more than 70 engines and APUs in its lease portfolio, worldwide strategic warehouse locations and sourcing relationships with over 600 global vendors.

In 2023, JSSI launched PartsHub, an industry-unique eCommerce parts platform, infused with JSSI maintenance intelligence and part reliability data. NBAA-BACE 2024 marks the one-year anniversary of PartsHub, which today supports a large user-base and procurement for over 5,000 aircraft in the business aviation sector. Powered by JSSI’s breadth of inventory across all makes and models, the portal is purpose-built for parts teams, operators and MROs worldwide, driving smarter and faster parts purchasing. PartsHub has seen over 14,000 searches and issued over $21 million in quotes since launch; well received by clients who want to streamline their parts buying experience and can leverage a different access point to the JSSI parts team.

“It’s exciting to see the early adoption trends and industry excitement for PartsHub. We are making strides to modernise the tools and data available to maintenance teams globally and work hard to deliver on our value proposition to our clients. We continue to look for new ways to best serve our industry as it continues to evolve, and I’m excited for the next 10 years of JSSI Parts & Leasing,” says JSSI COO Ben Hockenberg.

As the Parts business continues to grow, new custom procurement programmes have evolved in response to client demand. Notably JSSI has introduced a revamped Supply Chain Solutions offering and a brand new Rotable Program.

Both programmes are fully customisable to best fit the operation of each client who enrols. JSSI’s purchasing department becomes an extension of the client’s maintenance team, who can fully outsource parts procurement and inventory processes to JSSI Parts & Leasing.

- Through JSSI’s Supply Chain Solutions service, clients can hire JSSI’s in-house procurement team to plan and do all parts buying, coordinate all core returns and manage warranty claims, amongst other benefits.

- The Rotable Program includes a complete analysis of material needs to optimise inventory planning; JSSI directly invests in rotable stock for the client and manages this inventory, as well as repair costs and replacement of all consumables.

Both offerings are supported by a 24/7 AOG team and new ways of reducing aircraft downtime by leveraging dedicated stock in critical components.

Eric Bewersdorf, VP of fleet maintenance at George J Priester Aviation, shares his experience: “JSSI supply chain team enables my maintenance control team to focus on the aircraft issues as opposed to parts logistics. The team at JSSI is timely, responsive, helpful and thorough. Their ability to find odd parts and parts near obsolescence is a key factor in our customer experience. The partnership we have with JSSI is only improving our operational availability.”
