Omni receives AW189K for offshore ops
The aircraft will enter service quickly after its induction process in Brazil joining Omni's growing super medium fleet. Omni's commitment to a customer-first culture drives it to offer sustainable solutions.
The aircraft will be used for oil and gas missions.

Omni Helicopters International has taken delivery of an AW189K super medium helicopter on lease for offshore oil and gas operations in Brazil through its affiliate Omni Taxi Aereo. GD Helicopter Finance (GDHF), an Ireland based helicopter finance company, facilitated the deal.

Jeremy Akel, Omni Group CEO, says: “We are delighted to take delivery of another super medium aircraft to serve customers who continue to request new technology aircraft. The aircraft will enter service quickly after its induction process in Brazil joining our growing super medium fleet. Our commitment to a customer-first culture drives us to offer sustainable solutions, adapt and innovate, ensuring we continuously advance pioneering air mobility solutions. GDHF is aligned with this view, and we look forward to partnering with it in additional fleet transactions.”

Michael York, GDHF CEO, adds: “GDHF is pleased to commence a long-term partnership with Omni. The purchase of this highly capable AW189K super medium helicopter was a key step in GDHF's plan to rapidly grow a large portfolio of the newest technology, efficient, cost-effective, multi-mission helicopters. The lease by GDHF of the AW189K to Omni is part of a broader strategic framework of cooperation between GDHF and Omni. Part of this high trust framework includes two additional AW189 deliveries on lease in 2024. We look forward to further growth in this important relationship in the years ahead.”
