Pula Aviation Services, the parent company of Centreline and ASG Aircraft Servicing Guernsey, has appointed John Hamshere as business development manager MRO.

As a licensed engineer with over 34 years of extensive engineering and management experience in the general and business aviation sector, Hamshere's role will be to develop and nurture new MRO business and customers, manage the customer experience and meet the strategic objectives of the PASL Group.

Hamshere arrives from Gama Aviation where he was head of business development MRO, leading the sales and business development effort for all Part 21, 145, 147, engine overhaul and parts procurement activities across the group.

Before that, he had spent 22 years with Signature Technicair, the MRO division of Signature Flight Support. Beginning his career with Signature as a multi-type rated engineer, Hamshere became a Part 145 nominated Form 4 post holder as chief engineer and subsequently head of maintenance responsible for the day-to-day engineering and commercial functions.

In 2018, he became sales and business development manager for Signature Technicair while working alongside the Signature Flight Support, H+S Aviation and Dallas Airmotive sales teams in creating, developing and maintaining customer relationships across the Signature Aviation portfolio of businesses.

Pula CEO Steve Page says: "John’s experience in all areas of business aviation, along with his extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance, makes him a perfect fit for this role. We are thrilled to be able to appoint an experienced and well-connected business development manager."

With a proven track record and skills in contract negotiation and maximising business development opportunities, Pula is delighted to welcome John to the group.
