Corcia joins Wyvern executive team
Trent Corcia will lead the sales and marketing initiatives, drive growth and foster strong relationships with aviation service providers worldwide.

Wyvern has appointed Trent J Corcia as vice president, sales and marketing.

"Wyvern is thrilled to welcome Trent as our incoming vice president, sales and marketing," says CEO Sonnie Bates. "He has an extensive background in aviation including leadership, marketing, communication, and tactical and strategic planning. He is well positioned to enhance the company's strategic direction and strengthen our global presence. He embodies the passion for customer service and safety that Wyvern stands for. His leadership track record and in-depth understanding of the aviation marketplace make him an invaluable addition to our executive management team."

Corcia comes to Wyvern after two years as the CEO of Citation Jet Pilots Association (CJP), where he led the association's efforts on advancing the safety culture including the Safe to Land initiative resulting in no accidents or incidents by CJP members. He also improved the experience of CJP events and increased efforts of advocacy and philanthropy. Prior to that, he worked for almost a decade with FlightSafety International, where he led sales and marketing efforts for the owner/operator and single pilot segments of the general aviation industry and lead the FlightSafety Orlando Learning Center with its more than 170 employees.

At Wyvern, Corcia will lead the sales and marketing initiatives, drive growth and foster strong relationships with aviation service providers worldwide. His expertise will be integral in advancing Wyvern's mission of assisting aviation stakeholders in creating and implementing top-tier safety management systems.

Corcia has more than 4,000 hours of military and GA flying time and holds an Airline Transport Pilot rating, with type ratings in the Cessna Citation 510 Mustang, Hawker 800XP and Gulfstream GV. He currently flies his Piper PA-31-350 Navajo Chieftain.

Prior to joining CJP and FSI, he held several strategic and operating positions with American Airlines. He is also a former US Air Force C-130 instructor/evaluator navigator and mission commander. He graduated from Texas A&M University, SMU's Cox School of Business and Harvard Business School.
