Lisbon, Portugal-headquartered Omni Helicopters International (OHI), Latin America’s largest provider of air mobility and delivery solutions, has secured seven additional super medium helicopters for delivery in 2023 and 2024 to meet new customer demand, citing sustainability and product reliability benefits.

COO Duncan Moore says: “We decided to step up our position in the super medium helicopter class, both to accelerate delivery on our sustainability commitments and to provide increasingly reliable options to our customers. We will continue to explore all aircraft options to ensure that our customers can rely on us for capacity to meet their demanding missions.”

Chief sustainability officer Emin Aleskerov adds: “We’re delighted to be growing the super medium fleet segment as these helicopters offer superior CO2 efficiency per seat and optimised operating costs versus the vast majority of other types.”

Roberto Coimbra, CEO of subsidiary Omni Taxi Aereo, says: “This is a significant milestone that reinforces our leadership in the South American offshore transport market. These aircraft allow us to build on our world-class service, with unparalleled reach and efficiency, aligned with the most demanding IOGP-690 standards.”
